Generation 4 - The Party Animal

Wow! On gen 4 already! I am determined to finish a legacy challenge! I know I am not technically on gen 4 until Layton ages up to a young adult, but I want to add another page of in just for him so it doesn't crowd up my Gen 3 page.
So Layton aged up to a teen on New Year's Eve and his parents threw a great party for him and his friends and family. Then they all sat together at home and watched the countdown to midnight together.
As predicted, he is becoming a very good looking sim. He is going to be a heartbreaker in his gen!

Layton is a social sim, so what can he do but join a club at school. He is also active, so naturally, he joined the football team!
He went to his junior prom. he was first asked by his cousin Mary to which he accepted to go as friends. But VERY shortly after, a friend from school who he flirted with at a party came over to ask him. So he said yes to her and told Mary he would see her there instead.
One of his best friends from childhood, Elle, came over later and he developed a crush on her. He hoped he would ask him to prom but she didn't. So he got a hurt sentiment from that but still looked forward to going with Jaycee (who he only finds basic looking).
Prom ended up earning a bronze medal. I really don't know how to get that to silver or gold, because the prom is so short!
How he finds her basic looking, I have no clue! ( I know his preferences are not aligned to her looks, but she is so cute!)
A couple days later, he found the courage to ask his friend Elle out on a date. She is also such a cutie!
He even had the courage to kiss her
He finds Elle attractive, but we are just exploring his options right now. According to the rules he has to date at least 3 sims before settling down.

Layton is about 4 days from aging up to a young adult. He went to his senior prom and he asked a new girl at school named Luna. He finds her attractive and had a such a great time at prom he asked her to become his girlfriend.
Both his proms, he has taken the girl who won prom queen! He took Luna on a date and they have really gotten close.
A few days after prom, Layton's dad, Vincent, died from old age. Although he was only about 54 according to my age criteria. I think this is going to be his push to kind of spiral and live his life to the most, because you never know when your last day will be.

Layton has turned into a young adult. Unfortunately, only a sim day after his birthday, his mother passed away. Leaving him to take care of his teenage sister. He sold his mom's restaurant, broke up with Luna and to get away from all the fame of Del Sol, he moved him and his sister to Henford - On - Bagley. He wants to give his sister some peace and quiet to concentrate on school and accomplish her dreams of going to college. They have plenty of money from their parents. so Layton doesn't have to worry about that, however he does have to give up some of his dreams in order to take care of his sister. So, he's going to go a little wild, trying to live it up while he can, because life is too short! We will see what kind of mischief he gets himself into!

Layton had to get a job to prove he could take care of his teenage sister, so he got a job as barista. Even though he doesn't really need it. They are pretty well off with the money their parents made. Layton has been getting to know the neighborhood and has thrown a housewarming party already and has met a few people around the neighborhood. He in particular met a grocery vendor who he found attractive. And he met a friend of Cora's that he also is interested in. However both of those girls did not give him the time of day!
He asked the grocery girl out twice and both times, she stood him up. He met with Cora's friend Maaike and she was not interested in conversation with him it seemed. So he fell back on his best friend for some fun times. He asked Elle to be his woohoo partner for those lonely nights.
Next day, he got a call from Maaike to go on a date! He didn't even think she was interested. So he went and they go along well. He asked her to be his girlfriend and she accepted. So now he has to end his woohoo relationship with Elle...or does he??

SO MUCH DRAMA!
Layton did not call off his woohoo relationship with Elle but continued to date Maaike. Cora graduated high school early and got accepted into university. She will be going to Foxbury University majoring in Biology. She also aged up to a young adult and her and Layton have developed a close family relationship.
Layton threw her a gold level birthday party with family and friends. He surprisingly invited both Elle and Maaike and the relationships stayed unknown to both.
BUT here is where it gets interesting! The next morning, Layton gets a call from a girl he had a one night stand with, in a bar when he and Cora first moved to Henford. She called to say she had her twins, Melissa and Milton and they were both doing well. I then went to look at Layton's relationships and he had a relationship with both children and when I looked at their profiles, it listed him as the father.
So, we immediately went to see these children and their mother. He got there and it quickly escalated to arguments between them
He helped take care of the infants for a little while then went home. He called Maaike up and invited her over to discuss the situation. She came in and immediately asked Layton for some woohoo time, and as a guy, he of course said yes. That night he discussed where Maaike was with wanting a family and she currently was not ready. She left shortly after that.
Next morning, he asked her over again and told her the situation and broke up with her with the intention of doing the right thing and asking his baby momma to be in a relationship. Maaike was of course upset and left.
He got to baby momma's house and found her in bed with one of her roommates! He quickly stopped the activity and started an argument with her (again). He will not be pursuing that relationship after all

Layton spent Love Day with Elle and went out to dinner with her. They still only have a casual relationship going on.
He took his sister out the next night to the nightclub and took Lukas, his best friend, with them as well. Turns out Cora thinks Lukas is very attractive and secretly flirted with him through the night. I let it happen because I am a sucker for a brother's best friend trope 💖
A few days later, while Layton was working out at the gym, Cora invited Lukas over to talk with him about their relationship and if he thought he could see himself moving forward in a romantic relationship with her and he said yes! So for now, her and Lukas will be seeing each other secretly until they are ready to tell Layton about it.
Layton also has been thinking about his high school girlfriend lately, Jaycee. He invited her over to talk about their high school relationship and apologized for any hurt he may have caused her. She forgave him and even wanted to woohoo with him in the shower but afterwards when he asked her to give it another shot, she said no! Which only causes him to want to try harder. So his next step is to throw a party at the house and invite her over to try to impress her and get to know her more, in hopes of convincing her he has grown as a person since high school. His next step after that is to woo her with dates and gifts. We will see if it works.

Well Layton wore Jaycee down. He threw a bonfire and flirted with her all night. Then the next day he asked her on a romantic date in San Myshuno where he asked her to be his girlfriend and she finally said yes!
Later that evening he invited Jaycee out again to a nightclub for dancing, where he saw his baby momma. He largely ignored her and focused on Jaycee. But it did remind him her needed to see the twins the next day.
The next day he visited the twins, Melissa and Milton. He spent some time with them and let little Melissa sleep in his arms.
While he was there, he got a phone call from Lukas stating he thinks his girlfriend is going to propose and asking for advice. In the conversation. he accidentally mentions Cora's name. Layton quickly went home and asked Cora about Lukas and she said she was SO in love with him. So he invited Lukas over and asked him what his intentions were with Cora and he admitted to being in love with her too.
Also Layton has been working out and it's totally working for him
Layton, being the party animal he is, threw an end of summer BBQ with friends and family. Everyone had a good time and he and Jaycee spent some alone time in the hot tub afterwards.
His best friend Elle had a baby from another guy recently, so he went to check on her and her baby. When he got there, he is realizing that Elle has really been a lifelong friend, and he really appreciates her and her loyalty. He also did very well with her newborn, which she noticed.

Later, Layton and Jaycee went on a date where she was flirting with another guy and Layton noticed. He and Jaycee argued about her doing so. They are still dating but it is tense at the moment.

It was a sad Harvest fest this season. Walter, Layton's cousin died from electrocution. Layton invited the family over and also invited his twins (and their mom), Elle and her son, as well as Jaycee.
Jaycee was not happy about his baby momma being there. She also found out that Elle and Layton had an on again- off again relationship in the past and was not happy about that either.
They argued about it and eventually made up and Layton thought that was the end of it...
Cora invited Lukas to live with them to which he happily agreed. She also ended her second term with a B average. She is living a great life, which was Layton's goal when his parents died, and he had to take over raising Cora.
The next night, Layton and Jaycee went out to a club. He mastered the dancing skill while there (check!). However, the topic of Elle came up and they got into another argument that ended with them leaving separately. Layton invited Elle over that night and he cheated on Jaycee with Elle. He had a great time but decided he needed to break up with Jaycee the next day.
He took her out to coffee and told her about Elle. She was understandably upset and they publicly argued with each other in the cafe. Jaycee eventually broke up with Layton and it was not a pretty break up. I don't think they will be reconciling in the future.

Layton took a few days to consider his relationships and came up with the fact that Elle has always been there for him. She has always been understanding of his commitment issues. She understands that he has two children from a drunken night because she has one too. He came to the conclusion that he needed to make Elle his partner,
He took her out on a date and explained how he felt about her, declared he loved her for all to hear and then asked her to be his girlfriend. She accepted!
As far as jobs go, he originally was a barista after his parents passed, got promoted to the top of that and then quit. He then went into the landscaping career and promoted himself tot eh top of that career and then quit again. He currently is working in the athletic career but I think he will get tired of that also and eventually become a freelance photographer.

Winterfest family dinner was a must for Landyn. He invited his children, Melissa and Milton as well as friends and family. Unfortunately, his last uncle, Collin died before Winterfest. But everyone invited had ham dinner, listened to music and opened presents.
Lukas proposed to Cora, she graduated from college AND found out she was pregnant all in the matter of 2 sim days! Lots of good things happening for Cora.
The plan is to make this baby the heir for gen 5. But Elle's little boy is so cute and may just fit the criteria for gen 5 so we will see!
In other news, Layton got fired from his mascot job because he got into a fight with another mascot, but he gained fame. I think he is going to become a freelance photographer now and that will be flexible enough for his nature and also increase his fame.
Cora and Lukas had their baby. It was a boy they named Frankie. We will visit them soon!

Layton and family went to visit Cora and her family today.
Elle had the want to try for a baby with Layton and so they did, and she is now pregnant again with their 5th child! I really was planning on Layton only having one in the beginning, but sometimes things work out differently, I guess.

Elle had her baby. It was a girl, and they named her Katherine Burton. She also got Elle's red hair, must be really strong genes!
The twins aged up to teens. Melissa is an active, athletic sim who I think may be attracted to girls. Milton is an artsy hipster who just wants to paint. They got a birthday party thrown for them and everyone had a great time. And I forgot to take screenshots...
Other than that, my time was spent trying to build another home for this family, because they are now a 7-person family and a 3-bedroom home is just not doing it. So next time, they will move and I believe Brooks will be aging up. I still do not have any sims who have a preference for video games, so heir is up in the air right now :D. If no one gets the preference, it will probably default to Brooks or Katherine.

A birthday party was thrown for both Brooks and Katherine. Brooks aged up to a child and Katherine aged up to a toddler.
So far Milton has gotten the preference for video gaming but I really am feeling him as the artsy sim and see him moving out when he is a young adult to San Myshuno to sell his art. I'm envisioning Melissa as going to university to become a doctor. I want either Brooks or Katherine to become the next heir because they are biologically both Layton's and Elle's. So we will see, so far I can see either one of them as gamers.
Milton is a loner but has developed a crush on one of Melissa's childhood friends Journey. So we will see how that goes. Other than that, Layton is throwing parties and going out while he and Elle leave the children at home. The only thing left for this Gen is to max the photography skill which is currently at a level 4. I am hoping it is only a max level 5 skill, but we will see. I am ready to move on to the next gen soon.

Leroy, Elle's son, aged up to a teen today. He only had a few friends, so we just invited them over and had cake for him. He is a cheerful Animal Enthusiast. So, in being an animal enthusiast (And I don't want any more babies) he adopted a cat named Bubblegum. Which makes our household size 8.

Prom for the 3 teenagers in the house! Each one of them had a date and danced the night away! Milton won Jester again!
Katherine aged up and I gave her the geek trait for now. Her first whim was to play video games. I am leaning towards Katherine (later called Kat) as the heir. Because I think she would be so fun to dress for GeekCon, she is really cute, and I want to have a girl gen next. Only thing is, now I have to wait a LONG time for her to reach young adulthood.
Layton reached level 5 (max), so we are pretty much done with his gen. Melissa graduated from high school early and will be going to University soon. I am thinking doctor. Cora is pregnant with her third child now. So I may move them to another home that will be big enough for their family.

Elle died!! We threw an Easter family reunion/ birthday party for Milton at the park, everything was going great. Then Elle dies of laughter, because I forgot to turn off emotional deaths when I redid my MCCC settings!
I am going to get Leroy to find the ingredients for ambrosia and Layton to make it so we can bring her back to life. So that is my new goal until Katherine ages up.

We got her back to life! I have just been playing rotational play with Melissa at University and the family on weekends. Leroy aged up and moved out to Henford and lives on a farm. He will make money with farming and selling milk and eggs
While I was at university with Melissa, Layton and newly alive Elle, who are about 10 days away from Elderhood, decided it was a good idea to have one last kid. So Kelvin was born. He looks just like Layton with brown hair and light eyes. He does have him mom's light blue eyes though.
Katherine (now Kat) aged up to a teen, I had so much fun deciding on her cute by laid back outfits for being a gamer. I will start a new page for her story!
Layton is an elder!
