Generation 2 - The Stay At Home Parent

Daphne is currently looking for her mister "right" at Britechester University. She has two sims she finds very attractive. One is Adrian Gupta, a drama major, self-assured art lover who is also ambitious.
The other is her current professor for her drawing class ( Insert frowned upon relationship) He is a cheerful goofball looking for his soulmate.
Who will she choose?

Its been a while! I got caught up reading and with work and kids. It's Spring Break! Which means a lot more time for doing things I never have time for, like playing the Sims.
Daphne is currently just going through University classes. She is on her last class FINALLY! Her current GPA is an A-. She is dating Adrian and it is going very well.
Look how cute they are! He has graduated with his Drama degree so has moved out of university housing but they still find time to get together and be a couple. She did meet with her former professor who has since moved on to be in the athletic career. But there was just not sparks there. So I think she may have found her future husband to have her future children with. The plan is for her to graduate, move out with Adrian and then start on the goals for this generation. She is currently at painting level 7 so we are well on our way of mastering that skill at University.
She is at the second half of her young adult lifespan so a wedding will need to take place pretty quickly after she graduates. This generation so far has been pretty slow paced but I know once kids come around, it's going to get a little more challenging, especially with one of the children having to be an alien. Hope Adrian likes looking at the stars!

3/10/25
Welp right before graduating from University, Daphne discovers she is pregnant! Even with taking all precautions, her and Adrian are going to have a baby. I did put a pause on her pregancy for 2 days to prevent getting kicked out of University housing. She made it and graduated with an A average. Then I resumed the pregnancy.
She and Adrian moved in together and moved to New Crest. She thinks it will be a nice neighborhood to raise her children. They built a nice 2 bed- one bath home to prepare for their little one's arrival.
The following day after move in was Love Day and Adrian took Daphne on a date to the park for a picnic. Where he proposed to Daphne and of course she said yes!
Two days later, their baby girl is born. They named her Carmen. Adrian will be starting work as law assistant on Monday in game, while Daphne stays home with baby Carmen. Carmen ages up from newborn to baby Monday, Adrian ages up to an adult on Wednesday and planning on a Wedding on Saturday. Here is our sweet little family!

Daphne is working on getting ready for her wedding on Saturday. Making sure she has asked her friends to be the sims of honor, getting fit to get into her wedding dress as well as taking care of the house and family. Adrian decide the law path was not for him and has gone into the business track. He has already been promoted twice and is now an assistant to the manager. Carmen has aged up to an infant and is doing great. She will age up to a toddler on Saturday after the wedding. 
Adrian and Daphne had their rehearsal dinner Friday night and toasts were made in their honor by high school friends. Unfortunately, one of Daphne's friends from high school that she asked to be a sim of honor died suddenly so she was alittle down at the dinner. But Adrian was there for her as well as her friends. 
Tomorrow is the big day and Daphne is getting her rest in while baby Carmen is sleeping and Adrian is making them breakfast.
They make such a sweet couple and I can't wait for them to grow their family!

The wedding day is here! It was such a good time and all the guests had a blast. There was dancing, speeches and great food and of course Daphne and Adrian exchanging vows. We even had two guests wicked whimmed it up in the lobby! It was fun to play with the My Wedding Stories pack but I for sure did not explore it as much as I could have. Now on to building a family and skills. Adrian picked up a hobby of stargazing so maybe we can get an alien baby!

For today's story, Daphne and Adrian are truly in their honeymoon stage, even though they were not able to go on an actual honeymoon. They are so affectionate, it's really cute.
Well all the affection can only lead to one thing, another bun in the oven!
Little Carmen has aged up to a toddler and is even cuter than when she was an infant. She is an inquisitive toddler so is exploring everything and really about to max out all her skills already. 
Adrian is still really indecisive with his career path and he decided he wanted to quit his job as a businessman, which he was already promoted to level 4, and become a part time day laborer! With another little one on the way, he has to have a full time job so he is going to try out the politician path. The beginning pay is only $5 an hour! Hopefully he gets promoted quickly! We will have to add on to the house soon!
Daphne is currently on level 5 parent skill and level 3 baking skill. Once Carmen ages up Sunday in game, we will start volunteering weekly with the family. I believe I stopped on Friday in game, so next update will include
1. Carmen's birthday to age up to a child
2. Birth of the baby brother or sister
3. Hopefully some promotions and skill gains for Adrian and Daphne.

Last day of Spring Break! So I had to spend time with my legacy family. Here's the story:
Daphne threw a birthday party with friends to celebrate our toddler Carmen growing into a child. While everyone was enjoying all the baked goods that Daphne made and dancing to the music in the house, Daphne went into labor right in the middle of the party! She decided to try to power through to help Carmen at least get to the cake and presents portion of the party. However, her labor progressed very quickly and she had the baby at home!
And Carmen grew up into a cute little girl.
Carmen was actually sad about having a new sibling and was afraid that she would have less attention from her parents now. :(
A few days later, Daphne was woken up on the middle of the night by some strange lights and she went to investigate. And she was abducted by aliens! I really wish that Adrian was abducted though! She came back upset but healthy. From there, the focus was on skill gains for everyone and grades for Carmen. By end of the play today, Daphne as at level 4 baking skill and level 6 parenting. Adrian got promoted in his job and now is making a whopping $12 an hour lol. But Daphne has painted 2 masterpieces to help supplement our income enough we are able to expand the existing rooms for now. Carmen is a B student in grade school.
Through the last minutes of my play time, Kensie is now a toddler and looks very similar to her sister. Daphne has volunteered with her family a few times in the days that was played and Daphne is pregnant again with baby # 3! It's about to get crazy in this household, we are gonna need a bigger house!
3/17
Not much storyline for my short play today. Adrian got promoted and is now making $18 an hour, which is better but still not bringing home but maybe $200 simoleons a day. But he is moving on up. We were able to afford to build another room onto the house with its own en suite so the parents moved to the other side of the house and Connor got their old room. However it did drain the family funds down to $400 simoleons.
Daphne had her third child, in the middle of the night. This time a boy named Connor. Adrian was freaking out at the hospital like he hasn't done this 2 times before. Carmen was again not happy about having another sibling again. 
My newborns are only that age for 2 days so Connor aged up pretty quickly to a infant. Daphne finally got a child that inherited her red-brown hair color. Little Kensie aged up into a toddler. Skill- wise, Carmen is level 10 on motor skill and almost done with her childhood aspiration. She will age up on Sunday in game and it is currently Wednesday. Daphne leveled up to parenting level 7 but did not bake anything so her baking level has stayed the same. It looks like Kensie is going to be a little terror and has already had to be disciplined for making messes, playing in the toilet and she is taking off her clothes by herself. Her current levels is mostly motor, where Carmen's was more into creativity. We will see what little Connor is interested in later on, maybe he will be our intellectual.

So sad news! My youngest was sick Thursday night and as I was comforting him, he threw up on my shoulder. Guess what was also by my shoulder? My laptop. So tried drying it out overnight but it was not working and not even charging anymore in the morning. So I had to get a new laptop. Which is okay, because well new things are always great. However, I had to reinstall EA's app and all my sims games. Which means, my whole family was deleted along with everything else! I'm going to try to recreate the family as it was but I just won't be the same!

I tried to recreate the family as best as I could. The sims are not exact, but they are close. It's very unfortunate because I don't feel as attached to these sims as I did the others. But I also don't want to start over. I tried to replace what I could remember with MC Command Center and look back on this post (another reason why this is useful!)
I only was able to play for about an hour today so not much went on in this play. But here is what did happen.
Carmen is doing really well in school, helps around the house and with her siblings. She is making friends at school and overall is a typical first child.
Kensie is still a wild child and is constantly messing with toilets, getting undressed and singing her little heart out. She has maxed the social and motor skills as a toddler.
Connor has reached so many milestones this play (I recently got growing together and so far am really impressed with the additions to the game.) He will be aging up tomorrow (Friday in game)
With our couple, Adrian and Daphne, they have just been living life and taking care of the kids. Adrian got a promotion in his political career and so far, is keeping with it. He has not gotten abducted by aliens yet unfortunately. BUT Daphne is now pregnant for a 4th time! Both parents are very excited about it.
Next play:
1. Connor will age up
2. Daphne will have her 4th child
3. Daphne needs to work on her skills
4. Kensie will age up to a child
5. Continue working on Adrian getting abducted by aliens.

Another short game play so not much exciting things going on here. But, Daphne did give birth to her 4th child!
This timer she went alone due to Adrian having to be at work and earn some money. With a 4th child on the way, we need it! Daphne had another boy! This time named Carter (sticking with the C/K names). Connor aged up into a toddler and is such a cutie!
Daphne did a bunch of baking but did not gain a skill level, but we are closer to a level 5 for sure. But that is it!

Daphne finally made it to level 5 baking! Who knew gaining the baking skill would go so slow! In other news, little Carmen aged up to a teen and we threw a nice birthday party for her.
She is a creative genius with the painting aspiration. I debated on her look, because she was such a typical first child that was always good, did her homework on time without asking, cleaned up after her siblings ect. So I didn't know if I wanted her to continue with a more preppy look or give her a creative artsy look for her personality and aspiration (maybe a little teenage rebellion?). I went with artsy/edgy for now to see if it fits her.

It was Kensie's turn to age up this play. Her birthday fell on Harvestfest so we made our grand meal and had her birthday cake as dessert. It was a small family affair, since as a toddler she didn't have any friends and the recreated Adrian and Daphne don't have any close friends anymore. 
Kensie turned out to be a very cute kid. Her trait is excitable, and her aspiration is to be playfully social. Before age up she maxed all skills except the thinking skill. She already enjoys cooking with her mom so she may be our next gen heir. I am going to continue cooking with all the children to see who gains skill fastest and who maybe gets the preference for liking cooking.
Carmen started high school and is a B student at the moment. She has 3 best friends that are all some sort of creative type. For now, her style will stay. Having so many kids is hard to keep up with attention. There is always at least one who has a sad or mad moodlet for being ignored.

Skill-wise:
- Adrian hit level 6 logic, to be honest I tried cheating an alien abduction through MCCC but it wouldn't do it so I guess that's telling me to do it the hard way.
- Daphne is level 9 parenting and level 5 baking skill. She volunteered this play once with family and is on the 3rd level on her aspiration.
- Little Carter hit almost all his milestones as an infant, except getting to crawling. He also aged up to a toddler this play
- Carmen has taken up the guitar and likes to play it.
- Connor has almost maxed the thinking skill and social skill and has maxed the potty skill. He will be the next to age up in a few game days.
We were also growing out of the house we were in, so we moved to San Sequoia and built a bigger house. There is so much more room for everyone! I am working on fully decorating, then I will take some screenshots.

Well, Adrian died while looking through the telescope. Hit by a meteorite. I'm sorry but I had to cheat this one. I revived him with MCCC. How am I supposed to have a big happy family when the dad dies?? And I need him to become impregnated by an alien! I had to cheat everyone's sad moodlet off and Adrian currently has his own tombstone in his inventory, which is a little creepy. He also lost his job as a politician when he died so I went ahead and put him in the science career to maybe increase the chances of an abduction. Other than that, Daphne is now on her last tasks for her super parent aspiration. Christmas is tomorrow in game and I think Connor's b-day is after that. I decorated the kitchen with clutter so that is the only room that looks like a fully lived in room. That's it for the short play I had this morning.

Today was a lot of game play! First, Christmas came to the Gupta household. With all the kids you can tell everyone was excited to open presents and see what the day was to bring. Daphne and the girls volunteered at a nursing home on Christmas day. The girls gained empathy for others in volunteering and Carmen is in line to gain 3 of the 5 character traits when she ages up. Around midnight everyone gathered around the presents to open them.
On New Year's Eve, the Guptas had a small family get together for Connor's birthday to age up to a child. Daphne made cake, all the older members of the family made New Year's Resolutions. Bella Goth also came over to hang out at the house for New Years. Carmen tried to go to a party with her friends but was told no. 
Connor grew up to a handsome kid. and he gained the serious trait. I think he is going to be our cerebral geeky child. He aged up maxing all skills except the creativity skill as a toddler and he has the whiz kid aspiration. Shortly after midnight everyone went to bed to ready themselves for the next day. Daphne is getting ready to age up in about 10 days. Before she ages up she will have prom so she took her 3 close friends and went shopping for prom outfits then went to the rec center to hang out. So what else could I do but make sure her best friends looked amazing for prom. So to CAS I went.
Billie looks amazing in yellow and Carmen opted for a nice black and silver. Carmen was asked by her good friend Pierce to go as friends so he is wearing black and silver also. After shopping, all went to the recreation center to eat and play cards. But as soon as Carmen and Pierce arrive, I get a notification that Billie and Carmen's other friend Atlas are going at it in the bathroom upstairs! Carmen overheard and subtly asked Billie if she was seeing someone but she says she is single, Altas says the same. Guess you can't control those teenage hormones (and wicked whims).
Next play's goals: 1. Get Adrian to level 4 of the science career. 2. Get him abducted by aliens. 3. Carmen's prom and maybe a little rebellion? 4. Age up Kensie and get her some friends.

Adrian did get promoted to level 3 of the science career but I was not able to get him to level 4, so goal for next time. He is level 7 logic skill so is able to now search for the truth on the telescope. So hopefully by next time I play I can get him focused, level 4 of his career, build the machine he needs to contact aliens and get him to use the observatory in the park. Then FINALLY get him abducted by aliens!
The day before was love day and our wonderful parents went on a nice date and got away from the craziness of their crazy house. The two lovebirds had some great quality time together. 
Daphne was able to go into full parent mode and check off that part of her aspiration. Now all she has left is to have a child with 3 character traits, which Carmen is set to do that. Baking is still at level 6, and still no child has an interest in cooking yet. But they are making memories cooking together.
And finally, Kensie and Carter aged up to teen and child, respectively. Kensie is becoming a beautiful sim and currently has the popularity aspiration for high school. So I see many trips to high school and a lot of friends in her future. I also need to go in and adjust her style. For now here she is without a makeover. 
Next play is definitely about 1. getting Adrian abducted and pregnant. 2. Carmen will age up to a young adult and probably move out, I don't think I will send her to university, I want her to focus on her music. 3. Baking skill up for Daphne.

It finally happened!! Adrian got abducted by aliens! It was after a little woohoo with Daphne so he got beamed up au natural but I did it!
These cuties are getting closer cooking together. Daphne is still level 6 baking skill but is getting closer to that level 7. Kensie is looking adorable in her preppy style and is thriving at school making all the friends and going to all the events at school.
Next up: The focus will pretty much be on Kensie now. Going to school, making friends, and getting her social status up. When she turns into a young adult, my Gen 3 story will begin!

Kensie is making a lot of friends at school and attended her Junior prom where she won prom royalty! She will have another prom for her "senior" year next week. She currently does not have any love interests but she is enjoying time making friends and she also joined the cheer squad!
Adrian hasn't been feeling right since the abduction and Daphne is pregnant! This is really going to be a full house!
5/6 Took the day off of work today to take the big one to the dentist. So we took the whole day and spent a family day together. I was able to come home and play while everyone rested. So here is the updates for our big happy family.
Baby # 6 was born and his name is Chris. Might as well keep with the C/K names right? This house is chaotic and getting difficult to control all of them! The first babies got a lot of milestones done but these last 2 are lucky to stay fed and taken care of!
Connor was doing so well in school they recommended he graduate early! So he graduated and will be going to university as a teen. He has applied and is awaiting his acceptance and any scholarships he can qualify for.
Carmen finally earned and saved enough money from work and playing guitar in community lots, that she was able to move out. She moved to a small apartment in San Myshuno and is currently a One Star Celebrity in the Entertainer career (level 6). I marked her as unplayed so she can live her life.
Before she moved out she spent one last Winterfest with the family.
Kensie is about 5 days from aging up to a young adult and I can't wait to move her out into university! She has all kinds of friends, currently is seeing a boy in high school and is a cheerleader. I also may get her a job in the fast food industry or as a simfluencer until she ages up. Daphne is still at a level 7 baking skill so we will see how much I can get that up before Kensie ages up.
Hopefully the next post will be a picture of Kensie aged up and ready to go onto Gen 3!

Not quite to the new gen yet but enough has happened that I want to write an update. Connor got accepted into university and is at Foxbury studying Physics and putting his big brain to use. Kensie got a job as a barista and has earned some money in her account to hopefully be enough to get her through university and maybe she can still have her job since it is early in the morning. This is Kensie's high school boyfriend. The only trait he has is insane. Kensie and him went to their senior prom together and Kensie looked so amazing! Her boyfriend won prom royalty and they went together to the prom after party. Kensie invited him to come home with her and snuck him in where they engaged in typical prom teen behavior. Luckily, she was not caught by her parents. However, their protection did break. So hopefully no surprises there!
