Generation 3 - The Cook
Traits: Outgoing, Materialistic, Foodie
Aspiration: World Famous Celebrity
“I spent all of my free time in the kitchen so of course I made a career out of it.”
Rules:
- Open up your own restaurant and get it to at least 4 stars
- Marry an employee at the restaurant
- Have at least 2 kids
- Master the Cooking skill
- Master the Gourmet Cooking skill
- Become a five star celebrity chef
So where we left off in Gen 2:
- Kensie was dating her high school boyfriend, but when she threw her birthday party he did not show up! Heartbroken, she yelled at him the next day for not making it. He had the audacity to try to woohoo with her after she yelled at him! She broke up with him and quickly rebound to another guy who she really just finds basic looking, but it helped her get over her breakup and get over her crush.
- Kensie was accepted into university and got a Merit scholarship. She will be going to Britechester to study Culinary Arts.
- We achieved all goals for gen 2 EXCEPT the level 10 baking skill. we only got to level 7 before Kensie aged up

Lots of stuff happened today in the University life of Kensie! Her first semester went amazing! She met all her roommates and made good friends with all of them. She found a couple of the guys that live there really attractive also! (Maybe because I gave everyone a quick make over, so they were good looking roomies for Kensie)
She ended the first semester with an A- average taking a full 12 hours (4 classes)
Second semester starts and she decided that she could handle having 4 classes again which would put her on track to finish school early. However, the universe had different plans...
First, she met a very attractive, hot and gentle sim named Eli and was immediately infatuated with him. She asked him on a date after meeting him. They hit it off very quickly!
Unfortunately, in the middle of her second semester, she got news her mom has passed away unexpectedly. I really don't know how, my elder sims should have a much longer lifespan than normal. She quickly lost focus on school work, choosing to find comfort in Eli. She ended the second semester with a D+ average and is now on academic probation. She also did not get credit for one class. So this semester, she took it easy and is only taking 2 classes to recover her GPA. She still has her barista job in the mornings so currently has saved up about $2500 dollars for when she graduates from University.

Kensie is determined to improve her grades this time, she is doing all homework on time and completing her presentation early. Some interesting news this time. I was looking at Kensie's family tree to discover that Carmen has a set of twin boys! We took Kensie and Connor over to meet their nephews, and I also adjusted the house to put kids' stuff in the house.
So naturally, I was curious on who the father was because no one had moved in with Carmen. I went into play as Carmen and discovered that the father was Atlas, her childhood friend and high school crush. Who is married and has a teenage son with his wife!
I was also curious on why I never got a MCCC notification that Carmen was pregnant or had babies. I discovered that I never redid my MCCC settings. Which explains the no notifications and the early death of Ruby. So I redid that and should get all the relevant notifications.
Eli asked Kensie on a date, and they went to a bar in San Myshuno. They had a great time. Right now, Kensie is just having fun and not wanting to commit to anything. For challenge reasons, she has to marry an employee, so I don't want to make her get into anything too serious unless it happens naturally.

Well Kensie finished her term with a C+ average. I really don't know how it was that low. We did every homework assignment, her presentation was excellent quality, she presented it in a confident mood, and she went into her final for her other class in a confident mood. Oh well, it got her off academic probation either way.
She signed up for her last 3 classes and so far, it is going very well.
Skill wise, Kensie is at level 8 cooking skill and level 5 gourmet cooking skill. She is still working as a barista every weekday morning so she has saved up about $5000 Simoleans for when she graduates from university.
She is still casually seeing Eli when she has free time and they are just having a great time together. All her high school friends are pretty much married off and having kids. Her high school boyfriend is married and has 2 kids now. Atlas had another baby with his wife, so no plans to leave for Carmen, which leaves her to raise her twins on her own.
Next goals:
- Get Kensie graduated from University
- Move out and start working in the culinary career until she is maybe about 35 (15 days into her adult life span), after that, maybe buy a lot to start building her restaurant. In the challenge rules, it does say we can take 20k to build a business
- While working in the culinary career, stary making videos with a drone and posting them to increase fame. Maybe write a cookbook.

After practicing presentations, completing term papers, cramming for finals, Kensie finished her last term in University with a A+ GPA! She graduated with a overall GPA of a B+.
She graduated on Love Day so her and Eli went on a date to a park in Willow Creek. It was raining but they made the best of it. They are so cute together! I really want them to be end game but she has to marry someone who works with her according to the rules. They are just so cute together though!
Kensie decorated her apartment, it's very sparse right now! But what do you expect from someone coming right out of school right? She got a job in the culinary career, starting as a caterer (level 3). It was her birthday the next day so she planned a party with her family and friends to come over and celebrate. 
It was a successful 3 star party and everyone showed up to celebrate! Kensie is now an adult (30 years old by my calculations for sims ages) She was able to see Carmen who is heavily pregnant with her third baby and turns out is now married to another sim, Vikrum Barone and living in Hanford on Bagley!
I went to investigate the family and also gave everyone new clothes and updated Carmen's look to be a little more mom-ish. She still has her alternative style though. I'm glad she found someone. My plan is to go into their family and find out a little more about Vikrum as well an renovate the house to include rooms for the kids.
Kensie is going to work in the culinary career for now, making money and also working on her fame level. We bought a drone and video station to help her gain fame with streaming cooking videos and she will record fashion videos. When she gets a fame star or two and gets more money we will buy her a restaurant. As for her love life, Eli now lives in Oasis Springs, so we may let that fizzle out and date around in San Myshuno. But we will see where that goes.

MCC is going crazy! Apparently Adrian got remarried and Carter is now married and is going to have a baby. Carmen had her child, a little girl and Connor is somehow still at university.
Kensie has now reached level 10 Cooking skill! and is currently level 6 Gourmet cooking skill. She has gotten two promotions and is now head caterer at her job in the culinary career. On the side she is posting videos and streams her cooking. She has done very well blogging about her move to San Myshuno and her life as an aspiring chef that she was nominated for an award at the Starlight Accolades, which she won!
She is also now a level 1 Celebrity and is on her way to getting enough money to buy her own space for a restaurant.
As for her social life, she has been keeping up with her friends, spending time in the city and the gym. She saw Orange from high school at the gym and took a selfie with him. She has been on a few dates with Theo and Eli as well as just talking with sims around San Myshuno. She is just living her best life out here!

SO much sims play today! I'll condense it down to the main parts though! I'll go by goal to make it easy
Goal 1: Own and run a 4 star restaurant... CHECK!
Kensie bought a plot of land and built her own little brunch place in San Myshuno. She works the mornings as the chef there and then works her chef job at night. She hired Riko, one of her college friends, as a host and then hired two waiters to help serve customers. One of which I created for the purpose of her falling in love with and eventually creating a family.
Meet Vincent Burton, an ambitious foodie who just moved into San Myshuno and wants to be wealthy. We worked hard on creating a nice atmosphere for brunch clients and we made it to a level 4 restaurant! The end goal is once Kensie is married and gains fame, to move to Del Sol Valley and buy a restaurant out there as well as a bigger, better house.
Goal 2: Relationships
Her love life has changed with the arrival of Vincent. She asked Eli to just be friends after she went out on a date with Vincent and realized she could be head over heels with this guy. It was good timing too because MCCC married Eli off to another sim. 
They had their first date at the art museum where they looked at art pieces, drank wine and got to know each other. At the end of the date, they had their first kiss and ended the date there. Kensie knew there was something special about this guy, so she took it slow.
Later, Winterfest came around and she invited friends and family over. I also discovered that Adrian, her father, has passed away. But I don't know when. With the update, I had to redo my MCCC mod and forgot to redo my settings for notifications right away. So I might have somehow missed it.
Goal 3: Level 5 Fame
Kensie is still at level 1 fame but VERY close to being level 2. She is constantly posting videos and streaming as well as posting on Simstagram for fame. I think my next step is to throw a charity event with her, her sister and Orange. She was also nominated for another award at the Starlight Accolades so next time I play we will be going to that. I will schmooze with everyone there and invite them to the charity event to hopefully give a big boost to her fame.
She is currently at level 8 in her career, a Sous Chef. Her Gourmet cooking skills is at a level 8, so getting really close to maxing that out.
Kensie is about 35 years old now, so the focus for next time will be
1. Her relationship with Vincent. I think I will play as Vincent, propose to her and then move in together to plan the wedding.
2. Getting her fame up. Going with the plan above to see what happens. Also, may try to write a cookbook.

Kensie made it to level 2 Celebrity with doing her charity event in San Myshuno. While she was shmoozing with celebrities, Vincent got down on one knee and proposed to Kensie at the party. 
Kensie also won her second Starlight Accolade for her online videos. She started writing her cookbook.

She started asking her closest friends and family to be included in her wedding. Her sister Carmen and her best friend from college will be her bridesmaids and her nephew will be the ring bearer. Another friend from college will be the officiant.
Unfortunately, in a fit of rage, her brother Carter died! Most of my time today was spent moving them to Del Sol Valley and building them a new house. It's not fully done and decorated yet, but it is built and most of their money was spent! Luckily, Kensie got promoted to Executive Chef (Level 9) and makes great money. Vincent got a job in the business track but found discrepancies in their books and reported it so got fired BUT gained level 1 fame. So, he is now in the critic career and currently at level 3.

Still have to add some clutter and decor to the inside and landscaping to the outside, but overall, I am happy with it. I also have to decorate another bathroom; bedroom and I think I will add a gym instead of a laundry room. I also will add a pool to the back once we get more money.
Next up:
1. Get Kensie and Vincent married and start their family.
2. Continue to work on Kensie's fame.
3. Sell the restaurant in San Myshuno and buy one in Del Sol Valley.

Not married yet. But they did have an engagement party, a bachelorette party and a rehearsal dinner with family and friends.
Kensie apparently has wandering eyes and Vincent now gained the jealous trait. Hopefully we can get Kensie to stay loyal!
She reached level 10 of her career and we are working on her buying a restaurant in Del Sol Valley.
Engagement dinner: Kensie of course made the dinner and desserts, there was lots of dancing and talking with all her college friends and her family. She also met her sister-in-law and a new nephew and niece from her departed brother Carter. She was fast friends with her sister in law.
Next time: For sure get these guys married!

Vincent and Kensie got married! AND they ended up conceiving on their wedding night. So Kensie got pregnant right away which is good because our girl is in her mid to late 30s now.
She had a hard time with morning sickness during pregnancy but Vincent was really good about being a comfort and giving all the compliments.
Kensie threw a charity event that was to celebrate her baby. She finally, after playing forever, made it to a level 3 Celebrity. She finished her cookbook. Cooking with Kensie, it wasn't a bestseller, but it made her some money through royalties.
Kensie made it through the charity baby shower but gave birth the following morning.
It's a boy! His name is Layton Burton. I quickly found that Kensie is not the most maternal, but Vincent is being an excellent father for the baby. He aged up to infant and I randomized his trait, and he is an anxious baby. The only quirk we have found so far is that he is an early riser. He has Kensie's brown hair and Vincents blue eyes. I think he is going to be a very handsome kid!
We have enough money now to buy another restaurant in Del Sol Valley. Since Kensie alone makes 5k a day from her job and about 2k from royalties, they were able to save up pretty quickly. I may wait until she is closer to an elder, for several reasons
1. I think I want her to have another kid pretty quickly since she is about 20 days from aging up to an elder
2. I need to focus on her celebrity status and it's much harder with her going to work, kids, and owing a restaurant.
3. I think it would be a pretty good storyline that she gets a restaurant after achieving proper celebrity or global superstar status and a restaurant can be her retirement goal.
So next play, focus on her celebrity level and having another child.

Our little family celebrated Winterfest and Layton's birthday in the same night, surrounded by friends and family.
However, a few days later, sadly died from drowning. So, Kensie is now down to 2 living siblings, Carmen who is now an elder and Collin, her alien half- brother.
Layton aged up to a toddler and currently has the independent trait. He has 3 quirks, wanderer, aggressive and loves to sing. He definitely has potential to be our Gen 4 heir who is a party sim. My plan is to only have 2 kids with Kensie, so we will see who best fits the traits of gen 4 of the 2 siblings.
Kensie is also now pregnant with her second child. She is still working on her fame level. Vincent is currently a level 2 celebrity due to a bad review on a restaurant. Vincent is thrilled to be having baby # 2!

Baby #2 was born! Cora Burton made it into the world. She is a cautious infant who hates to be held but is a good eater. She has light brown hair with Hazel eyes. She is a good mix of both her mom and her dad.
However, since she is a cautious infant who doesn't like strangers or people in general, where Layton is a wanderer and was independent. I am thinking, just by personality alone, Layton will probably be out next gen.
Kensie is still level 3 celebrity but is slowly creeping up to level 4. In family news, her oldest nephews, Kent and Bryant (Carmen's twins) are now young adults and apparently did not have the safe woohoo talk with Carmen or their stepdad because both of them have babies on the way. Bryant (maybe, could be the other one) is also a player because he got two different girls pregnant within 2 days!
Layton aged up to a child today and has the active trait with the sleep over aspiration. I think he is going to be my social child. He is so cute though! He has his mom's dark brown hair and his father's light eyes.

Kensie and Vincent are feeling burnt out with the grind of fame and work. So, after Cora aged up into an infant, they set out to the Falls for some rest and relaxation as a family. Also, Kensie finally got a new hair style to fit her new mom lifestyle.
Layton also had his first sleep over with his two cousins that are close to his age. He will be starting grade school soon so hopefully will make a lot of friends soon. Cora aged up to a toddler and her quirks are: Hates wake up time, likes to sing and is a picky eater. Her toddler trait is inquisitive. I think she is going to be our gamer/brainy child.
Kensie made it to level 4 fame and is now a proper celebrity! She has about 7 sims day left until she is an elder (50 years old). when she ages up, I will retire her from her chef career and open a restaurant in Del Sol and work on that until Layton is a young adult and we move him out of the family home.

Well, another one of Kensie's siblings is gone. Carmen passed of old age leaving behind her husband and 3 children. Her two boys have 5 kids between them. Neither of the boys are married and all the children have different moms. The girl looks just like Carmen, even has the same hair as she did only blue, this was done by the game not me. I thought that was pretty cool.
Cora aged up to a child. She is very cute. She got the genius trait and has the whiz kid aspiration.
The family enjoyed a nice Harvestfest together as a family and the next night Layton invited friends over for a sleepover and achieved his childhood aspiration!
Kensie is 5 days away from aging up to an elder and we will buy a restaurant then.

Kensie's restaurant very simply called "Garden Restaurant" is doing well. She had two days she opened between Winterfest and New Years Eve. Both days her chef did not show up, so she had to cook and act as owner. The restaurant went from a 3 star to a 2.5 star due to the wait. But we were able to wow a last few customers to bring it back up to 3 stars.
Kensie fired her chef and hired a new one, hopefully this one shows up.
Kensie is still a 4 star celebrity but it is slowly going up. Her and Vincent haven't had much time together with her opening a new restaurant, but they find some time to make sure they show some affection when they can.

I don't know what happened, but I had to sell the restaurant! I got it to a level 4 restaurant and was about to have to hire another chef. But my chefs were not showing up to the restaurant. Luckily Kensie is a chef so is able to make amazing meals but if I have to hire another chef to help, they wouldn't show up. I thought maybe it was the dine out mod, so I saved and exited the game. The game needed an update, so I did that and took out the Dine out mod also. When I went back it, it told me Kensie did not own any restaurants but when I went to repurchase it, it says that it is already owed. So, I had to sell it from the manage worlds view, then repurchase and now I am starting over...Again!
Fortunately, when I opened this time, the chef showed up and the restaurant is currently 2 stars with only being open 2 days. I was not able to rehire my same staff, so I have to retrain everyone.
I'm so ready to move on to my next Gen now, but Layton has to age up and I am waiting for packs to go on sale again so I can buy get together for the next gen.

Kensie's restaurant is officially a 4 star restaurant. I think my next step is to add on another chef's workstation and have 2 chefs on staff. She is still a level 4 celebrity but she is still slowly gaining fame over time.
Collin's wife died and he immediately got remarried. And sadly, Vincent also died. He was only about 54 according to my age criteria but he died of "old age" because he was an elder. Kensie is doing okay but she has pretty much lost all her family, all her college friends have died and now her husband is gone. I think when it is her time to go, she will go willingly.
Kensie may die just when Layton ages up to a young adult and Cora is still a teen. My plan
is for Layton to take over guardianship of his little sister, skip college to make sure to provide for her but also turn into a partier due to his father and mother's deaths. YOLO right? I also think they will move out of Del Sol Valley to get away from his mom's fame and start somewhere fresh when she passes.

Kensie has a 5 STAR RESTAURANT! We may not have made it to 5 star celebrity but we made it to something 5 star, so I feel like I sort of accomplished the goal.
The family threw Layton his 18th birthday at their house and had all the family there to celebrate. The next day was Winterfest and unfortunately, Kensie passed that morning.
Leaving Layton to take care of a teenage Cora. They immediately moved to Henford-On- Bagley to get away from the fame and attention that follows a celebrity death. Layton will be sole guardian for Cora until she ages up.
Goodbye Kensie! It was a blast living your life with you!
